O Poder Executivo Municipal tem a função de governar e administrar o interesse público, conforme a Lei Orgânica Municipal, observando o que é previsto na Constituição Federal e na Estadual. Também é o poder executivo que coloca em prática as leis elaboradas pelo poder legislativo municipal. O chefe do Poder Executivo Municipal é o prefeito, auxiliado pelas Secretarias e Autarquias Municipais.
